En la presentecolaboración se reportaron estrategias que faciliten la confecciónmanual de máscaras transparentes para el tratamiento de cicatricesfaciales hipertróficas en población infantil y adolescentes.Método: desde una perspectiva narrativa se describieron estrategias originadasen la práctica clínica que resultaron facilitadoras para el proceso deconfección manual de máscaras transparentes en el tratamiento decicatrices faciales hipertróficas en población infantil y adolescentesatendidos en un centro especializado en rehabilitación de quemadurasen Chile. Se reportaron estrategias de manejo del medio ambiente,vínculo terapéutico y comunicación efectiva que facilitan el proceso deconfección manual de máscaras transparentes.Conclusión: El procesode confección manual de máscaras transparentes para quemadurasfaciales es una estrategia central en el tratamiento de cicatrices facialeshipertróficas en niños y niñas y adolescentes. En contextos donde no secuenta con otras tecnologías la confección requirió de un procedimientoque puede resultar invasivo por lo que fue importante consideraraspectos del ambiente. Environmental management strategies,therapeutic link and effective communication that facilitate the processof manual making of transparent masks were reported.Conclusion: The manual process of making transparent masks for facial burns is acentral strategy in the hypertrophic facial scars in children andadolescent’s treatment. In contexts where other technologies are notavailable, clothing required a procedure that can be invasive, so it wasimportant to consider aspects of the environment.
