El objetivo es conocer el papel que desempeña el terapeuta ocupacional en el tratamiento de estos pacientes. </b>Método:</b> se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en las bases de datos Dialnet y Google Académico, en la que se incluyeron publicaciones como guías o artículos. También se realizó la búsqueda de información en libros de carácter personal. </b>Conclusión:</b> desde Terapia Ocupacional se realiza un abordaje no farmacológico intentando prevenir que aparezcan más afectaciones o contribuyendo a modificar todos aquellos factores que impidan o hagan más difícil la convivencia, así como la realización de las actividades por sí solos. <br/><br/> <b>Introduction:</b> Due to the aging of the population, which is increasing, degenerative diseases are a current topic, being Alzheimer’s disease the most common and having a very important impact on a functional, cognitive, social and family level. The objective is to know the role that the Occupational Therapist plays in the treatment of these patients. <b>Methods:</b> A bibliographic review was performed using the following databases: Dialnet and Google Scholar. They were included publications as guides or articles.
